End of Term One!

Fri May 30, 2008, 4:18 AM
First term of school is officially over! :D

:boogie:

Gee wizz it has gone by quick! :D

Ok, new pics have been finished edited.

They are out door pics at the remains of my favourite gumtree that my dad cut down last week.

:cries:

so these pics are to kinda commemorate and to express my sadness at the destruction of when a tree is cut down.

Although i have to say my dad had good reason to cut it down because it was beginning to become a danger of falling down it was so old. And big. It was a huge tree and i spent many years of my childhood climbing, and falling out of, it.

So coming home one day last week and seeing my favourite tree cut down...

I was devastated.

Any way so these pics are personal.

AND it was so god DAMN FREEZING when i took these pictures i had to wear a scarf otherwise i was going to lose limbs. And it was about to start raining.

So....new pics. Hurrah.

End of term one. Double hurrah.

I can draw manga. Triple HURRAH!!!!!!!!

The picture of you on what remains of the gum tree is half a head short of simply incredible. How do you set up your shots? On a timer, or is there someone behind the camera?

It's a very poetic photograph. It says, "My physical discomfort is unimportant. I mourn a greater loss." Not to wax pretentious, but the metaphor goes beyond just you. This nude is a symbol of the soul, and she stands sadly among the bones of the natural world we are killing.

Great job. It was worth a little chill.

The exact same thing happened to me! My Dad cut down the sweetgum tree in his backyard that I used to climb when I was a child. It, too, was becoming a danger (and the top of the tree had actually died), but I am still sad that it is gone.

Yay for the end of term one, it was a good one grade wise I hope! Lightening hit my favorite mulberry tree when I was a kid. Man I missed sitting up there and eating mulberries, with a certain young lady named Michelle. But that's a whole other story
